5 out of 5 stars An excellent tool for relaxed massage   September 11, 2008

Although I think it is just a bit overpriced--after all, it is a formed hard rubber stick with knobs--its utility is beyond question. Is easy to manipulate. In connection with my masseur's trigger point work, this tool is very useful and very handy to have.

4 out of 5 stars Stress reliever   August 28, 2008

This product is useful for self-massaging trigger points most anywhere on the body. Read the manual carefully to learn many different ways to properly use the TheraCane Massager. I have chronic fibromyalgia and arthritis 24/7 and nothing really makes me pain-free, ever. I have tried most everything. The TheraCane is helpful for loosening up the muscle knots in my neck, shoulder, back etc. I do appreciate having the TheraCane, as I have tried one out in a store and at someone's home before. When I received a gift certificate for Amazon.com I knew what I wanted to purchase. For me personally, this does not take away my pain, but nothing does anyway. Anything that relieves the pain or tension from stress is helpful to me. This is probably more helpful to others than to me in the level of relief you will get from this. What I really like about the TheraCane is that I am able to reach the places in my back etc, and it allows me to apply quite deep pressure I cannot get otherwise until I go to professional massage therapy (I go every 2-3 wks). I can use this when no one else is around to help me release/relieve the trigger points of stress or pain. Even partial relief is better than none. It helps reduce/take away my neck headaches as well. The TheraCane also appears to be built from very strong material and I expect to have it the rest of my life. It will even fit in a medium to large suitcase if I should ever choose to take it with me on a trip.

Perfect for something to use on a daily basis when you can't get a professional massage.

5 out of 5 stars TheraCane   July 27, 2008

I absolutely love the TheraCane! I am a dental hygienist, and I develop painful muscle knots in my shoulder. Now I am able to massage away the knot and eliminate the pain myself rather than pay big bucks for a massage therapist. This is a must for clinicians in dentistry!

5 out of 5 stars The BEST product I've ever used for muscle pain!!   July 22, 2008

The Theracane is by FAR the most effective thing I've used to treat my chronic sore muscles and knots across my middle and upper back!! I've tried heated vibrating pads, self massage, massage therapists, a chair pad with those circular rollers, and those patches that heat up when you apply them to your skin. Absolutely nothing compares to this. I've had chronic pain for probably 10 years, and just in the few days I've had this, I am so impressed with its effectiveness. I have what feels like rocks between my shoulder blades and across the top of my back, and applying this pressure just really works them out, by applying direct pressure for several seconds to loosen the knot and then also using a small back and forth movement over the area. I feel so much lighter after using it. And now I don't have to bother my boyfriend and try to convince him how much I really need a massage. :) I've been using it several times per day for about 5 minutes each time and I absolutely love it. WELL worth the money, I wish I would have known about it years and years ago!!
